My Dear People,
The season of Advent calls us to look beyond the surface preparation for the celebration of Jesus’ birth at Christmas. Shopping, decorating and cooking are all well and good but are we preparing spiritually. Let us join our Blessed Mother Mary in humbly recognizing that “He who is mighty” can do great things for us; if we only open our hearts to welcome Him daily.
In His Word, in the sacraments, and in service of the poor He is with us. We were wandering in darkness and the Father decided to send His own Son, born of an Immaculate Virgin, to save us and bring us light.
We will joyfully celebrate Her Immaculate Conception on December 8. Remember that it is a holy day of obligation. Plan to be at Mass. See you there! Have a blessed and fruitful Advent preparation.
Come Lord Jesus!
Thanks for all you do! God bless you!
