My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Happy Fathers Day! Out prayers ruse up to our Father in heaven for all dads in our parish, living and deceased.
The satisfaction of all good fathers (physical AND SPIRITUAL) increases as they see their offspring grow spiritually and in the natural, human level. It seems a miracle to see a baby brought into the world develop into an adult. To see a baptized baby or a first communicant being formed into an adult Christian is a gift from God. Maybe a vocation to the priesthood or religious life will even come.
A father’s satisfaction is to see good come about for their sons and daughters. I truly hope the fathers in the parish receive that gift. Even the ones looking down from heaven.
In praying the Our Father together today let us remember our dads with gratitude and love. May the Sacred Heart of Jesus make our hearts more like His!
And remember that wee need volunteers to lead the Rosary before Mass beginning in October at Incarnation Parish. Sign the volunteer sheet at the door of the church.
